 Coaches
Pinpointing the single most crucial stage in player development is never clear-cut. Every player develops at a different pace and each youngster has a unique set of priorities at various times of their lives. There is, however, a few constants throughout the lives of these players, and one of them is coaching. A coach, good or bad, can have a tremendous impact, good or bad, on a player, some lasting and some fleeting.

 Travel Soccer Practice Schedule

12/30/11:  We are going to try out the calendar method of scheduling indoor practices this season.  CASL has determined locations, days, and time slots for specific teams as noted on the calendar below. If you have a conflict and need to make a change, please contact Amie Preston.  You will need to determine if you will be cancelling and/or taking any of the time slots that have become "OPEN" to replace that practice session.   The calendar will then be updated to reflect your practice times and locations.  Please refer back to the calendar frequently to make sure the times you requested have been confirmed. ONLY TIME SLOTS THAT ARE MARKED "OPEN" CAN BE CLAIMED.  Otherwise, it means the gym is closed or unavailable on that date.

Indoor Practice Locations (Updated 1/13/12):

Canandaigua Middle School (U13 Girls, U15 Girls): Sundays only; Time slots: 12-1:15 pm, 1:15-2:30 pm and 2:30-3:45 pm

Canandaigua YMCA (U10 Boys, U10 Girls):  Sundays only; Time slots: 5:30-6:45 pm, 6:45-8:00 pm

Red Jacket Gym (U12 Girls):  Saturdays only; Time slots: 6:00-7:15 pm and 7:15-8:30 pm

Crosswinds Wesleyan Church (U11 Boys and U11 Girls): Sundays Only; Time slots: 2:45-4:00 and 4:00-5:30.

OUTDOOR FIELDS FOR PRACTICES WILL BE DETERMINED IN MARCH

Coaches, Please contact Amie Preston with your intentions for practice locations and times.  This may also require you to clear use of the field through the town, city, or school before use since many fields are closed due to poor conditions.  Once you have contacted Amie, it will be posted on this calendar for all coaches to see.

Coaches,

Good Luck in the 2012 Season. Your dedication to soccer is truly appreciated!

 Coaching Education

The education of coaches is always desirable and the logical method by which to bring better soccer skills and experience to the kids. When we move into more competitive teams, formal education becomes crucial. NYSWYSA and US Soccer recommend that clubs ask all coaches involved in Select and Travel levels commit to getting their E certification and then their D license.
CASL will support your efforts financially whenever necessary!
More knowledge and education will give you more confidence and ability too!
